Tower Motorsports has confirmed Kyffin Simpson for the upcoming Rolex 24 at Daytona. He will race the No. 8 Oreca 07 Gibson in LMP2.
Simpson will share the entry with John Farano and Sebastien Bourdais, with endurance specialist Sebastian Alvarez completing the lineup.
The move extends Simpson’s collaboration with Tower after endurance appearances in 2023 and 2024, including key stints in the IMSA long-distance rounds.

LMP2 in IMSA is a tightly controlled spec built around the Oreca 07-Gibson. The class features Pro-Am lineups, emphasizing cohesion across driver grades.
Simpson’s second IndyCar season with Chip Ganassi Racing showed clear progress, highlighted by a first podium on Toronto’s street circuit.
He also helped Tower win the LMP2 class at the 2024 Twelve Hours of Sebring, partnering Farano and IndyCar regular Scott McLaughlin.
Before that, Simpson secured the 2023 European Le Mans Series LMP2 title with Algarve Pro Racing alongside Alex Lynn and James Allen.
Two wins and five podiums from six races anchored that campaign, underscoring pace, reliability, and stint discipline.
His most recent Rolex 24 start came in 2024 with DragonSpeed, yielding seventh in class and 48th overall.
For Daytona, Tower’s blend of Farano’s experience, Bourdais’s versatility, Simpson’s momentum, and Alvarez’s endurance focus offers depth across night running and traffic management.
Daytona typically rewards disciplined stints, tire conservation, and clean pit work, especially within LMP2’s compressed performance window.
With parity high, marginal gains in out-laps, driver-change efficiency, and caution management are likely to define Tower’s ceiling in a crowded field.
