Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosts the Round of 8 opener on Sunday, October 12 at 5:30 p.m. ET on USA Network, shaping the run to the 2025 NASCAR Cup championship.
The 1.5‑mile layout rewards clean air, tire management, and pit execution, making track position swings decisive under long green-flag runs.
Saturday, October 11 features Xfinity practice at 2:00 p.m. ET and qualifying at 3:05 p.m., followed by Cup practice at 4:30 and qualifying at 5:40 on TRUTV.

The Xfinity race starts at 7:30 p.m. on The CW.
Sunday’s Cup race covers 267 laps and 400 miles, split into stages of 80, 85, and 102 laps.
The green flag is projected for 5:39 p.m. ET, with PRN and SiriusXM providing radio coverage.
Select in-car cameras stream on HBO Max, complementing linear coverage and radio.
Teams have nine tire sets, adding strategic flexibility across long runs, where track position, pit timing, and tire life typically decide the race.
A 38-car entry list is expected, including two part-time efforts. J.J. Yeley returns in NY Racing’s No. 44 Chevrolet, and Katherine Legge races Live Fast Motorsports’ No. 78.
Playoff contenders include Ross Chastain, Kyle Larson, William Byron, Joey Logano, and Denny Hamlin, fronting Hendrick Motorsports, Team Penske, Trackhouse Racing, and Joe Gibbs Racing.
Logano won at Las Vegas last season, underscoring Penske’s superspeedway-style strengths on intermediate ovals.
The Round of 12 ended dramatically at the Charlotte Roval, where Shane van Gisbergen claimed his fifth win, while a late Chastain–Hamlin clash opened the door for Logano to advance.
Viewers in the United States can watch on USA Network. TSN carries coverage in Canada, with additional international partners providing live broadcasts.
With eight drivers fighting for four championship berths, Las Vegas promises high grip evolution, aggressive restarts, and strategic variance that could reshape the playoff order before the penultimate round.
