Nick Percat confirms he will retire from full-time Supercars at the end of 2025, signing off at the Adelaide 500 on November 27-30 with Matt Stone Racing’s Chevrolet Camaro.

The timing surprises given his current form. He remains competitive, yet chooses to rebalance priorities and set up the next phase of his career.

Since debuting in 2010, Percat amasses six championship race wins across major outfits, including Holden Racing Team, Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport, Brad Jones Racing, and Matt Stone Racing.

A defining moment arrives in 2011, when he wins the Bathurst 1000 alongside Garth Tander, becoming only the second driver to win the race on debut.

The upcoming Bathurst 1000 marks his 15th start and his last as a primary driver, underscoring the longevity of his presence at Australia’s benchmark endurance event.

Percat became only the second driver to win Bathurst on debut, partnering Garth Tander in 2011.

He also cites his 2016 Adelaide 500 victory with Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport. That win, achieved in heavy rain, underlines his execution under pressure for a small independent team.

Form in 2025 supports the view he exits on merit, not decline. Three podiums reflect speed, racecraft, and technical feedback that benefits Matt Stone Racing’s Camaro program.

His departure reshapes MSR’s medium-term planning. The team must replace an experienced leader while maintaining development momentum and operational consistency into 2026.

Percat intends to stay active as an endurance co-driver. That role leverages his race management strengths across marquee enduros while reducing full-season demands.

Percat plans to grow JND Kart while pursuing top-line endurance co-driver opportunities.

He also invests more time in his JND Kart business, broadening involvement across motorsport beyond Supercars’ weekly cadence.

As the season unfolds, his consistency continues to add depth to the grid. The Adelaide finale provides a fitting home-stage farewell for a durable, effective competitor.

Three podiums in 2025 underline Percat’s decision to step back on his own terms.
