Brittany Force set the provisional Top Fuel benchmark Friday at zMAX Dragway, running 3.698 seconds at 338.85 mph at the 4-Wide Carolina Nationals, round two of the Countdown.

She was the only driver in the 3.60s. It is her fifth No.1 this year and 57th of her career. The event is the 16th race of the 2025 Mission Foods series.

The result steadies her playoffs after a second-round exit dropped her to seventh. Preparing for retirement from full-time racing, Force and HendrickCars delivered under the lights with precise execution.

Doug Kalitta followed at 3.700 and 332.18, with Steve Torrence third on 3.720 at 331.28. Those times influence lane choice, central to four-wide staging rhythm and reaction consistency.

Brittany Force’s 3.698 at 338.85 mph led all Top Fuel runners on Friday.

Funny Car tilted toward Matt Hagan, whose Direct Connection Dodge logged 3.891 at 329.67. It was Friday’s only 3.80 and a significant reset after Reading setbacks.

Hagan stressed preparation after recent detonations. The team tightened systems to reduce risk, underscoring the importance of protective gear like fire suits when incidents strike.

Austin Prock posted 3.900 at 327.74, while Cruz Pedregon recorded 3.910 at 320.28. Both runs sustain pressure on Hagan and preserve Saturday tuning options.

Pro Stock leader Dallas Glenn delivered 6.535 at 209.69 for his sixth No.1 of 2025. The points leader targets back-to-back Countdown wins at a venue that suits him.

Greg Anderson matched the headline number with 6.535 at 209.20. Eric Latino’s 6.538 at 208.01 compressed the order, elevating the premium on perfect launches.

Dallas Glenn set the Pro Stock pace with a 6.535 at 209.69 mph.

Pro Stock Motorcycle pivoted to Gaige Herrera, quickest at 6.757 and 201.22 on the RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki. He sits six points behind Matt Smith.

Herrera emphasized four-wide awareness across lanes and lights. Richard Gadson ran 6.760 at 200.26, with Smith at 6.768 and 201.01 as defending event winner.

Gaige Herrera’s 6.757 set Friday’s Pro Stock Motorcycle benchmark.

Charlotte’s motorsport hub amplifies the weekend, from the Coca-Cola 600 to NHRA’s four-wide showcase, near many top NASCAR drivers. Qualifying resumes Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET.
