Six-time and reigning NHRA Pro Stock champion Greg Anderson headlines Drag Illustrated’s State of Drag issue, which releases digitally on Monday night. The edition serves as the magazine’s annual pulse check on the sport.
The September/October issue ranges from the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series to local tracks. Digital issue #196 is free now, with print copies due to subscribers soon.
Anderson won his first Pro Stock crown in 2003 and his sixth in 2024. He sits down with Editor-in-Chief Nate Van Wagnen for a deep interview on career arc, class shifts, and KB Titan Racing’s approach.

His record continues to expand with clear markers of longevity. He reaches 100 wins in 2022 and hits 1,000 round wins in 2024, joining only John Force in that statistical company.
Those returns underscore his on-track execution and the robustness of KB Titan Racing. They also reflect Pro Stock’s recent resurgence, aided by Anderson’s work nurturing emerging talent.
That mentorship includes former crew member Dallas Glenn, 2021 Rookie of the Year and runner-up in the 2024 championship. It speaks to a stable pipeline and a team-first culture.
Van Wagnen labels Anderson “a living legend,” citing his range as driver, engine builder, mentor, and leader. Anderson’s grounding under Warren Johnson remains a thread through his evolution.

Beyond the cover feature, the State of Drag issue adds a roundtable with four original Street Outlaws figures, a look at the Lil Gangstas class, and an interview with PDRA Pro Street rookie Fletcher Cox.
The package aims to capture the sport’s competitive landscape and its grassroots mechanics. For newer fans, it also contextualizes drag racing within the broader motorsport ecosystem.
Founder Wes Buck frames the issue as a yearly barometer for opportunities and headwinds. It focuses on the sport’s evolving industry trends and the discussions guiding future growth.
The full digital edition is available at no cost, offering a snapshot of where drag racing stands and where it moves next. Coverage spans performance, participation, and essentials like driver safety.

Nicholas Rivera delivers NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car news, including eliminator-round results and reaction-time stats. He brings track-side interviews, contender profiles, and championship-point breakdowns straight from drag-racing’s biggest national events.
