Elite Motorsports and Tony Stewart Racing announce a commercial alliance, aligning sales, marketing, and hospitality to maximise partner value across the Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series ahead of Reading.
The alliance targets Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, Mountain Motor Pro Stock, Competition Eliminator, and Pro Mod, creating integrated partner packages and shared assets across transport, hospitality, and activation.
Elite Motorsports brings a large transportation fleet and in-house drag racing expertise, enabling tailored logistics and partner experiences that complement its on-track program.

It also operates NHRA’s largest professional team, headlined by Pro Stock contenders Erica Enders, Jeg Coughlin Jr., Troy Coughlin Jr., Aaron Stanfield, Greg Stanfield, Stephen Bell, and the Cuadra Boys.
The programme extends to Mike Coughlin in Mountain Motor Pro Stock, Royce Freeman in Competition Eliminator, and Mason Wright in Pro Mod, broadening inventory for prospective sponsors.
Owner Richard Freeman describes the partnership as a natural fit, citing aligned priorities and a commitment to presenting the best options to partners while scaling long-term relationships.
Tony Stewart Racing, based in Brownsburg, has competed with two NHRA entries since 2022 after forming in 2021, reflecting broader industry trends toward consolidated, partner-led operations.

Tony Stewart assumed Top Fuel duties in 2024 from Leah Pruett, who plans a 2026 return. Matt Hagan leads the Funny Car effort, a four-time champion with 53 event wins.
Stewart has two Top Fuel wins in 2025, plus 2024 Rookie of the Year and the 2025 Regular Season Championship, underscoring TSR’s rapid competitive maturity.
Stewart characterises the alliance as asset pooling that increases value for current and prospective partners, improves funding resilience for race programmes, and strengthens organisational depth across both operations.
Elite Motorsports recently purchased Josh Hart’s Top Fuel programme, with sponsorship discussions ongoing to fully fund the effort. No driver is announced, signalling a flexible approach to lineup and timing.
The 40th NHRA Reading Nationals run September 11–14 at Maple Grove Raceway, Mohnton, launching the Countdown to the Championship for Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle.
